Beowulf

Beowulf, translated by Burton Raffel, portrays Beowulf as an archetypal ace. Beowulf goes on an epic prosecution risking destruction for glory which is a definite trait of prototypical pigboates. Other traits furthering this claim include his inhuman strength and clemency for other humans feeling the bearing at to relieve them. Beowulf is a brave fearless leader and has inhuman strength, “greater and stronger than anyone anyplace in this universe” (lines 110-111). “Death was my errand and the fate they had gain” (lines 168-169), meat Beowulf believed it to be his duty to kill and relinquish the world of wrong, and that the evil he faced got what they deserve, which is death by him. Beowulf believed it was meant for him to pay off to Hrothgar and rid Herot of the ogre Grendel. Beowulf claimed he would fight with his bare work force for he wasn’t a coward, he believed that “God must patch up who will be given to death ’s coldness grip.” (lines 174-175). Beowulf would be relying on his own strengths and marbles to emerge victorious. The limpid match against Brecca revealed another of Beowulf’s archetypical hero traits. His need to care for others before himself was shown in the smooth match.
